To My Customers,
It is with profound regret and sadness, that I must
announce the sale of the Gulf Stream Eagle. Out of
the blue, a commercial diving outfit out of Trinidad
had an immediate need for the vessel. I had 3 days
to make the most difficult decision of my life. This
is not a decision I wanted to make, but we all know
how difficult the past two years have been,
particularly in the dive industry.
After over 30 years in the live aboard dive
industry, and 21 years on the Gulf Stream Eagle, I
will always remember the countless memorable dives,
good times, and hundreds of good friends that both
myself, my family, and my crew have met. Gulf Stream
Eagle has performed numerous rescues of people and
boats in her history, which we were fortunate enough
to be able to assist.
I want to thank, from the bottom of my own heart, my
family and crews heart, the thousands of customers
who made this dream possible when I started in 1978.
We have shared many great dive and listened to the
never ending “Sea Stories”, told on the back deck of
the Eagle. This is not necessarily farewell, for who
knows, I may find a vessel in the 80 foot range that
can operate more efficiently in today’s market.
Thanks for the memories, Captain Mark Rose
