Captain Mark Rose (Owner)
A graduate of the University of Tennessee in
1972 with a degree in General Business
Administration, Mark spent three years as a
scuba instructor for Hal Watts from 1975 to
1978, running dive charters on the weekends.
In 1978 Mark took delivery on his first
multi passenger dive charter boat, which he
ran to the Bahamas and off the coast of West
Palm Beach. In 1987 the operation included
two 40' dive vessels as well as a 100 foot
luxury live-aboard vessel, Mark's first crew
boat conversion. In 1989 he acquired and
converted the 100' Gulf Stream Eagle into a
state of the art live-aboard charter boat.
With well over 25 years of experience,
Mark's
knowledge of the ocean and its creatures,
his expertise in diving, navigation and
marine engineering place him with an elite
few atop the Liveaboard Industry. The
consistency of his operation is attested to
by the large number of repeat customers of
15 or more years and a friendly familiar
crew that doesn't change every year.
Captain Mark sets the standard for
live-aboard charter operators. His
innovations in the conversion of oil rig
"crew boats" have been widely imitated in
the dive industry. He discovered and named
many of the reefs off Grand Bahama Island,
including El Capitan reef. |
