Laine, who has been with the Gulf Stream
Eagle since 2000, has both a US Coast Guard
100-ton Master's License and a PDIC
Divemaster's Certification with many years
of liveaboard dive boat experience in the
Bahamas. Laine has also traveled the world
diving in many exotic locations.
Captain Laine has also been a professional
artist for many years, holding a Bachelor of
Fine
Arts degree from Florida Atlantic
University. His award-winning paintings are
in many private collections and he shows in
art galleries throughout South Florida and
the world. Laine’s commissioned work
includes murals in both residential and
commercial spaces, oil paintings, and art in
public places. Matted prints of his marine
art are available to passengers onboard the
